Shifter X relaunches its brand today with a new positioning and a new website. Shifter X is now home to Shifter and Lisboa Para Pessoas, two media outlets that share the mission of disseminating essential knowledge for a world in constant change.
Node Shifter, we treat the digitalization of societies, which has not slowed down and which is raising numerous challenges and will continue to question values and customs rooted in our societies. In Lisbon For People, we address the transition in cities with its epicenter in Lisbon, connecting stories of the city with useful guides on mobility and sustainability, a library with data, documentation and other resources, and a community space for reflection and citizenship.
Nowadays, there is more and more news but less information, and more and more content but less knowledge. At Shifter X, we believe that the media can play a decisive role in this acceleration; we want to re-evaluate the role of the media in the production of knowledge and the valorization of the intellect in Portugal. We propose to do this, in a sustainable way, at Shifter and Lisboa Para Pessoas, but we are looking for foundations, museums, publishers, research centers, academic institutions and other entities that share our ambition to make knowledge more accessible.
