Shifter joins the House of Impact

Shifter is now part of the Casa do Impacto community, a space that brings together people and projects with the aim of positively impacting the world around us.

THE Shifter has a new home. In January, we became residents of House of Impact, now being incubated in this social innovation space at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML). Located in the former Convent of São Pedro de Alcântara, Casa do Impacto seeks to incubate, accelerate and support projects that respond to social and environmental problems and needs, such as those stipulated by the United Nations in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030.

Shifter – as a community magazine for reflection and criticism on technology, society and culture, which seeks to make knowledge more accessible – responds to the fourth United Nations Goal – that of Quality Education, in which it is intended “ensure access to inclusive, quality and equitable education, and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

Shifter's relationship with Casa do Impacto is also based on a partnership, the details of which we will reveal soon. What is certain is that we arrived at this new home with an insatiable curiosity and a desire to deal with even the most complex issues in a close, simple and inclusive way.
