The first meeting on “Cities of the Future” It happens on April 21st.
During 2022, it will be possible to attend six events with different themes divided into two seasons: the first on future issues and the second on the present. The goal of the partnership is to address complex issues in a close, simple and inclusive way, where personalities from the areas under debate come together to think about the proposed topics. All conversations can be listened to in podcast format later.
Relaunched in 2020, Shifter is a community magazine that appeals to thought, interconnecting themes of society, culture and technology, and which joins forces with the SCML entrepreneurship hub to promote the development of critical discourse on current issues that interest the Casa do Impacto community of changemakers.
“This series of exploratory conversations is both a moment to bring the community together and a learning experience for everyone – learning more about the challenges of the work can help incubated startups solve problems and present solutions that have not yet been implemented, for example. The aim of holding these meetings is to address urgent social and environmental problems and enable the creation of a positive impact from the Impact House.”, explains Inês Sequeira, director of the House of Impact.
For João Gabriel Ribeiro, editor of Shifter, “It is a unique opportunity to create unique moments in a space as accessible and open as Casa do Impacto, which end up being the culmination of many years of work around the major issues of the moment. It is a way not only to make the reflections that concern us reach more people, but also to humanize and socialize these issues, getting to know each other and better understanding the desires and needs of those involved.”.
